HIP are preparing to apply for a major long term new grant with the aim of obtaining funding to continue our current activities and to enable us to expand on them in the future.
We invited members of local groups and organisations to a presentation at the Swan Hotel last week, and asked for their suggestions on what new services we should provide if we did receive more funding.
There was a marvellous turnout, with representatives from a multitude of groups and organisations at both the afternoon and evening sessions. There was a lively discussion on each table and we got lots of suggestions. These will be invaluable when we prepare our initial application for funding (it’s a long process!)
