What services are already available?
A team of local volunteers are at the Centre 6 days a week who would be glad to help with any local queries. We also help with filling out online forms, run a weekly Jobs Club and offer a weekly Befriending Service to people experiencing social isolation.
Courses
We arrange courses such as First Aid Training and Food Safety, which help local businesses and also help jobseekers find employment.
Leisure classes and talks
We also organise life skills classes, these have included art classes, cookery classes and IT training. We have in the past also organised information events on health, finance and various more light-hearted social talks.
We have a notice board at the Information Centre showing groups looking for volunteers.
We take bookings for local events such as Harleston Cinema.
Our service and activities are funded by grants and donations and we are very grateful for the generous support of local groups and residents. We will be applying for new grants to enable us to continue our activities and if possible, expand them in the future, and a knowledge of what local residents would like to see and do would be very helpful for this purpose.
