Harleston Information Plus offers a wide range of services to support the local community. These include:
Community Information Centre
Offering a wide range of information including tourist leaflets, local walks, bus timetables, information on health, wellbeing and support services, local events, clubs, groups, Harleston cinema bookings and much more.
Jobs Club
Open every Wednesday, drop in anytime between 10am-2pm for help with online job searching, CVs, application forms, interview tips and advice, local training and courses, self-employment information and volunteering opportunities.
First Aid training
We hold up to six Emergency First Aid at Work training courses annually, charged at £65 per person. Discounts are available for charities and local community groups.
Online Form Filling Service
This service is offered every Monday and Wednesday afternoon. Receive help with completing online forms such as senior bus passes, blue badge applications, PIP, Universal Credit and Attendance Allowance.
Befriending
Offering face-to-face befriending to anyone over the age of 18 who may be experiencing social isolation within Harleston and the surrounding villages. Trained volunteers will visit you at home or meet at a local cafe or community group.
Citizens Advice
1:1 appointments are available every Wednesday from 10am-12pm offering advice on a range of issues such as money, benefit or housing problems.
Stitch and Chat
Bring along your own crochet, knitting or needlework and join our friendly stitch and chat group, every Saturday 10.30am-12.30pm.
Room Hire
We have two meeting rooms available for hire from £5 per hour, both rooms have an internet enabled screen.
Foodbank
We issue Foodbank vouchers from the Information Centre on behalf of the Waveney Foodbank.
