Harleston and District Round Table has been around for over 40 years and despite this it is not that well known to many people in the area. We often get confused with other secret societies, but this is not the case, as we are aimed at all men between the ages of 18 and 45.

We meet on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month and do things that you would not normally be able to do. This year meetings have included a visit to a tank museum, tour of a free range pig unit, golf and a pub bike ride.

Socializing and meeting new friends takes up a big part of the group and people come from all walks of life which also helps encourage potential business links.

Charity and fundraising is very important as it provides a sense of purpose to all that we do. In particular we help local good causes , either with donations or actually getting together and physically helping with projects, for example we have helped local schools, families and also put on the annual free family pantomime at Christmas.

Although our membership is male Round Table is now very much a family organisation. We regularly have meetings where wives and partners can come along and they also help with some of the other activities. We also have family days for the children such as camping weekends, Barbeques and fireworks evenings.

Round Table is a national organisation so there are opportunities not only in the local area but with 600 clubs and over 8,000 members there is always lots going on all over the country.
