Made2Measure Theatre will be appearing at Wingfield Barns on Sat 12th October with a classic Victorian melodrama – Lady Audley’s Secret, by Charles Hazelwood.
At Audley Court, Sir Michael and his new wife enjoy a life of country ease, until a blast from Lady Audley’s past arrives, in the form of an unexpected visitor.
Will Lady Audley confront the complications of her past? Or will she seek to remove this threat to her life of wealth and privilege?
The play was first performed in 1863, at the Victoria Theatre in London. where audiences were thrilled by the scandalous story.
We have added an MC, in the style of Leonard Sachs in BBC’s “Good Old Days”, for those of you old to enough to remember!
And we have included some songs, to add to the Music Hall feel of the show.
The cast includes well-known faces from local theatre groups like Roughcast, Harleston Players and Circle 67 – Bruce Alcorn, Anne Clifford, Finn Cutting, Mike Davison, Eileen Ryan, Matthew Townshend and Emily Walpole.
